Graffer's Attacking Canvas
Apologies for all the retrospective posting at the moment...Due to general rush and rule of work + life lately. But better late than never right?
First day back from my travels to Brisbane for the National Leaders Conference and Sydney for theJesusWalks exhibition at World Youth Day this year, I was straight back into work with the Graffer's Attacking Canvas aerosol art program. The program, held at the Northern Sound System in Elizabeth (City of Playford council), involved a group of local young aerosol artists who I worked with to develop designs and paint a canvas each, with the finished works being exhibited at the Playford Civic Centre as part of the SALA festival.
Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure...

No Cell Out
Here are some recent photos from the 'No Cell Out' aerosol art program. The program was designed to engage young people interested in aerosol art by involving them in design and painting workshops, resulting in canvas painting and mural projects in the local area. This included participants working with community members to paint canvases and display them in the local shopping centre.
These photos include murals designed and painted by the group with help from myself and co-artists Sammy AKA Prospects and Jan AKA Raydems. The program is an initiative of Mission Australia.

OLD MURAL
Marino Rocks Community Hall, completed early 2008.
This is one I never got around to putting up online so here it is finally!
Commissioned by the Marino Community Hall and joint funded by the City of Marion Council. This mural was Designed and painted with fellow artist Morris Green. This mural became very drawn out due to us both getting full-time jobs early in the process...We ended up working 7 day weeks for some time. Don't recommend it!
Thankfully, the local residents loved it. People would stop their cars to tell us how much they loved what we were doing, and we recieved a lot of great feedback about the project, including a large number of job offers.
If you are from Adelaide, you can see it parallel to the Marino train station on the Noarlunga Line.
